Nature Tots Mini Sessions to Kick Off your Summer!

Toddler Saskatoon

Kick off a summer of nature exploration with Nature Tots!

Now offering Tues & Wed options

Waving fingers through reeds, gathering cones and tucking into secret spots— Nature Tots provides a joyful opportunity for caregivers to explore and nurture their sense of wonder together.

We are gently easing back into delivering nature programming after our pandemic hiatus. Expect small group-size (capped at 4 pairs), plenty of space and fresh air learning.

The Nature Tots program engages both adult and child (ages: walking - to about 24 months for this one) in a variety of seasonal sensory experiences in Saskatoon’s Gabriel Dumont Park. Caregivers (grandparents, other caregivers welcome!), will develop their nature mentorship skills through the process. We will maintain distance between pairs at all times and any learning tools we use will be sanitized and not shared within the session. We require all participants to thoroughly wash their hands before the start-up of each session.

Nature Tots includes playing with natural materials, walking to visit different nooks within the park, playing simple nature games and singing nature songs.

Location: Saskatoon’s Gabriel Dumont Park.

Dates:

Tue, June 9th - Tues. June 23, 2020 (3 Sessions)

Wed, June 10th - Wed, June 24th, 2020. (3 Sessions)

Timing: We will meet at the ‘trail-head’ at 4:00 and depart at 4:05. Please plan to come early and go for a short walk nearby the first time to allow yourself a buffer.

Cost: $50.00/pair for 3 sessions

Cancellation Policy: A refund, minus a 10% administration fee, can be issued up until 2 days before the event. After that time no refund will be issued. If we are required cancel Nature Tots due to Covid-19 restrictions, a full refund will be provided.

I sincerely believe that for the child, and for the parent seeking to guide him, it is not half so important to know as to feel when introducing a young child to the natural world. If facts are the seeds that later produce knowledge and wisdom, then the emotions and the impressions of the senses are the fertile soil in which the seeds must grow. The years of early childhood are the time to prepare the soil.
