Full creative days immersed in nature? Yes please!

We are looking for new owners and operators to continue and build on Wildernook's vibrant outdoor and nature programming foundation. Please contact claire@wildernook.com to discuss.

This full-day creative nature immersion camp carves out space for youth to intentionally explore local nature spaces through a creative lens. This program is led by experienced outdoor educators in Saskatoon’s Naturalized Parks and urban spaces (e.g. River Landing & Remai Modern)

Our crew will engage in process art (including drama), take inspiration from nature and collaborate on art projects in the field. As part of this program, participants will also practice nature stewardship and safe tool use. We welcome curiosity, enthusiasm, and playfulness and mentor participants to pursue their interests and work with others.

Note:

  • July 3 - 5th camp is only three days (including single days) to accommodate families who travelled or went to the lake for Canada Day long weekend.

  • Aug 26 - 29 camp is only four days to accommodate families heading out of town for Labour Day long weekend, and kids transitioning back to school. It’s our season’s end wind down camp : )

Requirements: This is a fully outdoor program that will proceed in all types of weather. To ensure your child has the best possible experience, outdoor clothing that can get dirty, including rain pants and jacket, are required. Suggestions for types of clothing and layering will be provided within a parent information package.

Times: 9:00 - 4:00 p.m.

Dates:

Cost: July:$231, August: $308 ($77/ 7hr day of learning), single day $82

This price includes access to the group outdoor gear we will be using and excellent supervision, education and mentorship from experienced outdoor educators. We maintain a low leader to participant ratio of 1:6 for this program.

Full registration requires our receipt of payment, health information and completed waiver forms. We are open to having children with additional needs, however, facilitators require advance notice of each participant’s health information in order to prepare for the session. Families who do not disclose pertinent health and learning considerations (e.g illness requiring additional care, life threatening allergies, and significant learning disabilities, etc.) before the program start date will not be permitted to participate and no refund will be provided.
